Fundamentals of nursing is a course where students can develop basic nursing skills which  are useful during everyday work with patients of every age group and in any hospital ward. 
The course is conducted by an experienced crew of nurse-lecturers in well equipped study rooms. 
During the course you will learn:
1. The rules of every nursing activity
2. The principles of asepsis and antisepsis
3. To perform, interpret as well as document basic life functions and anthropometric measurements such as:
a. Blood pressure, pulse, saturation, body temperature
b. Body mass, height, skin and fat folds, body mass index (BMI), waist-hip ratio (WHR), Waist-to-height ratio (WHtR)
4. To care and tend to the patients: how to feed them in various ways, bathe them, change their position and do anti-bedsore care
5. To perform antiseptic treatments such as: intradermal, subdermal, intramuscular and intravenous incisions, cannulate peripheral veins, connect to drip infusions and catheterize 
6. To perform treatments related to the digestive tract: gastric sampling, rectal infusion, care for an intestinal stoma, 
7. To administer medications via the digestive tract, respiratory tract, the skin, mucous membranes as well as by tissue
8. To collect material for examination: Blood, urine, stool and swabs
9. To dress wounds and bandage different parts of the body
10. To keep hospital documentation 
11. The basic pathological symptoms from each system 
12. To give nursing diagnosis and solve basic nursing problems
All of the functions above make up the fundamentals with which you will be a competent health care worker aware of your skills and abilities and sensitive to the needs of every patient.
