The Academic Language Centre

The Academic Language Centre at the Medical University of Warsaw offers intensive language courses (one-month, one-semester and one-year) for foreign nationals and Polish citizens. The courses are taught at all levels of proficiency (from A1 to C2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages/CEFR**).

We offer intensive one-semester or one-year courses of Polish as a foreign language for foreigners who intend to study in Poland in Polish language. For candidates who intend to study in English at Polish universities and for freshman students of English-language degree programs in Poland we offer intensive one-semester or one-year courses of English.

Information on intensive English courses

►Participation in this course will enable candidates to achieve a level of English proficiency required by Polish universities and will teach the current students to use the language in a more effective way, which may significantly increase their effectiveness of learning and improve their marks in all subjects .

►The courses are taught by highly qualified and experienced teachers of English. Classes take place in rooms equipped with audio-visual facilities with Internet access. Regular testing enables the participants to learn about the progress they have made and in case of difficulties they are provided with helpful advice during one-to-one sessions with the teachers.

► At the end of the course, students take the final exam. Participants receive a Certificate of Graduation from the Course at the level of language proficiency they have achieved. High teaching standards, effective motivation methods and a reliable system of assessment cause the Certificate to be a trustworthy indicator of the candidate’s language proficiency.
